ANNOUNCEMENT: major service disruption caused by abusive developer(s)

as of 2013-07-06 05:15 UTC (july 5 10:15pm US pacific time) the Codename
Cirrus service is experiencing a very large number of connection attempts
from an abusive developer.  this is overloading the system and disrupting 
service for all developers.
 
we have blocked this developer; however, the connection attempts are still 
overloading the system.  the following developer keys are contributing to 
the disruption.  developer keys

MUST cease access to the Cirrus servers in order for normal service to be 
restored for the other developers and users of the system.
 
UPDATE 2013-07-06 14:05 UTC: our hosting provider has blocked both of the 
Cirrus redirectors (the front-end systems that help process incoming 
connections) because the excessive traffic was causing problems in their 
infrastructure for their other customers. this means the Cirrus service 
is now completely unavailable until this abusive traffic can be stopped.

攻撃的なトラフィックがおさまるまでサービスは再開されないらしい。Cavetubeはすでにピア共有を切る形での配信方式に切り替えているものの、サーバが直に全員に配信することになると思うので、きっと厳しい。多分サーバ側の帯域負荷は数倍に跳ね上がるということで、これは視聴者の多い配信ほど顕著になるはず。ビットレートに上限を設けているものの、今Cavetubeで詰まらない自己満足配信をするのは申し訳なく、しばらくLivetubeに避難することにしました。

Flashは滅んで欲しいけどCavetubeもAdobe Labsも応援してます。
